I too! Understand this experience, has being young like me, only 23, I have found that people with TBI tend to over think and over react of themselves.
A true friend would see you as a person with a TBI, not a TBI-ed person. And most to all of my friends look pass my TBI and see me for me.
Another thing that I have learned that if I stress about my Brain Injury, people tend look the other way because they do not know how to respond but if I accept myself for who I am, people will take me in as a wholesome person.
